Posse & Sixpoint Brew Up Exclusive Access to Limited-Release Beer

Posse is excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Brooklyn-based Sixpoint Brewery to give Sixpoint fans an easy and convenient way to purchase exclusive small-batch Sixpoint beers directly on their iOS and Android devices. Waiting in line for a chance to score a great beer is no fun — we want people to enjoy the beer experience as much as possible.
The collaboration with Sixpoint is another example of how Posse works with innovative brands that love their fans and want to use technology to improve the brand experience. As of today, September 22nd, the app is live as a closed beta on both iOS and Android.
In the past, consumers looking for early access to limited-release beers had to spend hours in line at the brewery. Worse, sometimes all that waiting doesn’t guarantee a beer and people leave empty handed. The new Sixpoint app completely does away with this system, and provides a more egalitarian method for beer connoisseurs to experience the brewery’s latest creations. Consumers use the app to select the new limited release products they want, pay for them, and reserve a timeslot to come pick-up their beers at the Sixpoint Brewery in Red Hook. In fact, the new app will be the only way to get your hands on these exclusive beers.
Those who download the beta will be given access to purchase six packs of the Lil’ Raspy Raspberry Berliner Weisse and the Toppen-ish IPA at noon on September 26th. On September 30th, the brewery will open for in-person beer pick-up — the first time the brewery has opened its doors to the public in its 13 year history. More limited releases will be released every few weeks on the app. Today is a great day for beer in Brooklyn!
The Posse/SixPoint partnership goes back several years to a fortuitous meeting at famed West Village beer bar, Blind Tiger. The release of the beta app provides a sneak peak into a larger series of updates to the brewery’s popular Sixpoint Beer Finder app — stay tuned!
